This body of information contained in Romans 14:1-15:7 is designed to give us our basic and fundamental instruction in the fourth sonship decision-making skill: Godly Equity. The focus of attention will be upon our Father's instruction so as to make godly decisions that are fair and impartial, especially in your dealings with 'weaker brothers' whose level of edification is different than your own. The goal of this doctrinal information is for you to be both profitable and beneficial to 'weaker brothers' so as to ensure that their godly edification as a "son" takes place under the authority of God and God's word rather than by you as their "tutor and governor." Godly equity has a two-fold overall purpose: to ensure the edification of the 'weaker brother' takes place properly; and to ensure that the local assembly will continue in its own godly edification with peace, concord, fellowship, and communion; and without conceit, division, or schism. In this section, the last two major features of Godly Love and Charity get generated and effectually working within you, bringing the full complement of the features and characteristics of Godly Love and Charity to seven in all.
