Due to the nature of our sonship life being lived out in this present dispensation of grace, it is critical for us to be oriented and established in the doctrine of the dispensation of Gentile grace that is now in effect.  Romans 9-11 form the 3rd Major Cornerstone of our fundamental edification that the book of Romans gives us.  Here we take a short survey of God’s program with Israel, and here we find out what has happened to Israel now that God has suspended His program with them, and here we find out that God is not finished with Israel at all, but will, indeed, fully and completely fulfill His program with them when this present dispensation of grace in over.  This information allows for a “son” to be able to think dispensationally ‘on the whole’ and thereby solidly “perceive the words of understanding” and properly handle “the word of truth.”
